New Holiday Traditions

Matt and I have been married for almost three years (in May). We both have different family traditions. My family has a gourmet junk food party on Christmas Eve. Then we go look at the different lights around Anchorage. And followed by watching our favorite christmas movies (that is really more me and Sarah's thing) Christmas day we open presents, take a nap, hang out and have lasguna. In Matt's family they don't really do anything on Christmas Eve. But on Christmas day we have a yummy brunch at Matt's cousin Marnie's house . Follow by dinner and games at his Aunt Linda's house. Both have lots of good food and family. As we progress in being a married couple we want to have our own traditions and intermix our families'. Since we usually stay in Utah we spend Chrismas Day with Matt's family. While Christmas Eve we have a junk food party with our favorite christmas movies. We added a couple new ones to our traditions. We love going to the Temple Square Christmas lights. Though we didn't go this year because we both came down with a horrible cold. But we did go to the festival of the trees. We love looking at the different trees. Including the one my patients decorated. We hope to find different little things to add over the years.

June Baby

Emme has been such a wonderful happy little love. That we decided to start trying early then we had planned. Since I have PCOS we figure it would take forever. Since one of the symptoms is infertility and higher risk of miscarriage. We were over joyed when we found out I was pregnant again. And even more overjoyed when I made it past eight weeks since I have only made it once that far and that was with Emme. We are so excited that we are expecting a little one June 3rd. We find out on January 20th what our little angel willl be. We can't wait!!!

Emme's Birthday Party!

We had a family party for Emme's birthday. It was nice to see the different relatives who came. Matt had family come from Neveda and I had family come down from Washington. We held the party at Matt's parents since our house is far too small for entertaining. We had munchies and a strawberry cake with strawberries and Strawberry Mousse with butter cream frosting. It was really sweet and not sure I will make it again. Emme had so much fun being passed from family member to family member. She loved playing with her cousins. She kept trying to eat her cousin Braylen's jewelry. Emme got some really nice presents. Her favorite seem to be the a riding cart from Uncle Mike and Aunt Liz. Her Rockie Pony from her Grandparents Losser. And her new baby doll from Mom and Dad. She took her first step at the party. But none since. She thinks it is funny when we try to encourage her to walk. She just flops to the ground and laughs. She will walk when she is ready.

Emme's Birthday

Emme turned one on November 4th. In honor of the event my parents and my sister Sarah drove down from Washington. (They recently moved from Anchorage to Centralia) Emme was excited to see her Grandma Olsen and Auntie Sarah again. She was nervous meeting her Grandpa Olsen for the first time. But they quickly became friends. For her birthday we took her up to Temple Square. She had fun watching all the people. For her birthday dinner which is an Olsen family tradition. We had only the immediate family over. Just Grandparents Losser and Olsen and Auntie Sarah. We had fun sitting around laughing talking and watching Emme jump all over. She was extremely hyper and that was before the cake. I wish I had thought about taping it. She loved her cake as it was chocolate and she is my child.

Emme's First Halloween!!!

In Utah when Halloween falls on Sunday. It is celebrated on Saturday. Personally it is a little weird to me. But I grew up in Alaska where we trick or treated in snow and below zero temperature. This year happened to be Emme's first Halloween. This year she was a butterfly. We decided to take her to Wheeler Farm to get some lovely autumn pictures in her costume. She was confused by the whole trick or treating experience. And had some anxiety which is unusual for her. Who goes to everyone well almost everyone she has a couple people she doesn't care for. She got so many compliments on her costume and her smile. She is the cutest butterfly.
She loved playing with the leaves

Daddy's Girl

It is so true little girls are Daddy's girls. Emme loves her daddy. She has him completely wrapped around her little fingers. He is her favorite jungle gym. She always looks to see where he is. I am very lucky to have such a great hubby and father to our little Emmeline. He changes diapers, feeds her, does her laundry, and even gets up with her at night since I work days. He loves being involved in every way with our little sweet pea. I am so happy with the man the Lord designed for me.
