Christmas

We were dreaming of white Christmas this year but it didn't snow till Christmas Day and then melted shortly afterwards.  We were hoping to take the sledding Christmas Eve as we had the past couple years.  Sadly no snow just rain.  The girls did a snow dance through out the day hoping for some flurries.  Christmas Eve we had our annual junk food party with Christmas movies.  The girls love this tradition and have even asked for it several times since Christmas.

Not a big of a spread as my parent's junk food but it only the five of us

Christmas Day  the kids were so excited for all the fun of the day.  They enjoyed  the contents of their stockings and opening their presents.   Alex had more with his new trucks.  Livi was thrilled with her Minnie Mouse house while Emme did a happy dance as she found a box full of art supplies.    The girls had fun out in the only real snow we have had this winter.  Before we went to Matt's cousin for Christmas Brunch.

Every year we go over to Matt's cousin home for Christmas brunch.  We love this tradition.  The food is always yummy and we always have a great time.  The  girls loved playing with Aspen.  Livi loved eating shrimp she loves seafood.  Emme  loved the bacon and fruit.  Alex loved the fruit.  His face was covered in blackberries.  After brunch we went to Matt's parents home for opening of the grandparent presents.  The kids had so much fun all day.  It was nice to be with family and then have a quiet dinner at home.

Behind

I feel like I am behind in everything.    I haven't blog since before Christmas.  So many projects and things haven't gotten done lately.   I feel guilty but to be honest I have either been sick or struggling to have any energy.  It started shortly before Halloween every cold and flu bug that went around seemed to latch on to me for dear life.  I would get a couple days relief before I was ill again.  I started to blame my PCOS as ate zinc like candy.  It was hard because the kids want to be out doing stuff and I just wanted to be in bed.  I think most days we ended in the day room playing while I rested in a chair eating throat drops.  When I went to my doctor she seemed doubtful that my PCOS. PCOS can cause issues with your immune system but not as much as I was describing.  In fact I was getting over another cold my gland were so swollen she could tell I was so sick.  Of course her ideas all lead to more tests.  People wonder why I call my endocrinologist the vampire doctor because she takes tons of blood from me each appointment.  I felt so frustrated that she had no answers other then the let's do tests.  Two days later I had my answer I have hypothyroidism along with PCOS.  Oh joy another fun issue to deal with.  Now I adjust to fun new meds with new rules.  My new must be taken first thing in the morning with no water or food for thirty minutes.  So far it makes me dizzy and a bit sleepy.  Each day I seem to being better on it and I have finally made it a week with out getting ill.  Now to get back to projects and the craziness of the kids.  They are already excited for Easter and Livi is already to plan her birthday party which isn't till May.
