A long but fun weekend

This weekend was super busy and crazy.  Every day there was a family party or something to attend for a close friend.  Friday was Matt's cousin Marsha's daughter's wedding.  Matt took the day off so he could attend all the fun, however since he works nights so he slept through the wedding part.  The wedding luncheon for family was that afternoon.  It was the same time as Emme's friend's birthday party.  So Matt walked her over early so we could be on time for the luncheon.  Silly kid wanted to carry the present and didn't make it past the driveway before she tripped skinning her knee.  The luncheon was nice.  It was decorated in yellow and grey.  They had Cafe Rioish food.  It was nice to sit and visit with Matt's family.  We all crowed at a table to eat and chat.  Livi had fun saying hi to everyone and even elected to stay with Grandma when we had to leave to pick up Emme.  That evening was the reception at this beautiful green house.  Instead of a guest book they had a photo booth.  You got you pictures done then one to keep and the other in the book.  They had cold stone ice cream which the girls loved!  The bride and groom looked so happy.  The girls loved running around.  After almost three hours we took the girls home.  Which was probably the best because I started having contractions and cramps.  Fun times being pregnant in the heat.
Saturday Matt's best friend was getting the aaronic priesthood and baptising his daughter.  So we drove to Rose Park so we could attend.  It was exciting for everyone as the girls would get to see their first baptism and Matt was able to participate in both the confirmations.  I took both girls up to front so they could watch.  Emme was so excited by it and asked when it was her turn.  I explained that she needed to be eight.  Livi pointed and said water swimming?  After the baptism (the program so nice I was taking notes for when our kids time)  they had a celebration with food and party stuff for her birthday.  The girls got tons of stuff and ate too many sweets.
Sunday was Matt's cousin Marnie's son Cristen's graduation/ birthday/ going away party.  He is going to school in Wisconsin.  So it was a huge party with family, food and cupcakes.  They even had frozen lemonade for the kids and Rubio's  (which has been a big craving for me )  The girls raced around the house while me and Matt tried to stay cool.  It was nice to see how he has grown up in the past five years.
Today I got a rest while the kids, Matt, Stockton( Matt's cousin's son) and Matt's parents went to the lake with the boat.  They had so much fun.  Emme kept telling me how she loved swimming in the lake.  "I kicked my legs and moved my arms"  I think swim lessons are around the corner.
It was nice to see the family.  Some who we don't see very often, some we see more, and one we won't see for a bit.

Pregnancy Fun

I am now starting my third and final trimester.  Thank goodness.  I am so anxious to met our little boy and I am ready to be done with the pain.  This is the worse time of year to be pregnant.  It is hot.  Sunday it was up to the nineties.  I am not looking forward to next month when it is usually in the hundreds.  It doesn't help that I swell.  I feel like the state puff marsh mellow man from Ghost busters.  I will wake up in the morning just a little swollen and as the day goes on everything puffs out.  My feet swell to where I can't even get on my flip flops.  The girls will touch my legs and it is painful.  Emme told the baby to be nice to me that other day because I was having a hard time moving.  To add to the fun I cramp.  If I move to quickly or sit for too long I will horrible stomach cramps.  My doctor is funny he tells me the sun is my enemy, your going to hurt, drink lots of water, and don't do too much or you'll be on bed rest again.  Aww the joys of high risk pregnancy.  But at least at the end of this I will have a cute little miracle.  I have a wonderful hubby who indulgence my craves.  (Latest soft pretzels with nacho cheese and cranberry slushes from Sonic)  and anxieties about getting ready for a boy after two girls.  My girls are pretty good too though there are days where they drive me up the wall.  Livi is in the whining stage.  She cries about every little thing.  Alot of it is caused by Emme's bossiness and bullying.  One minute they are the best of friends and them Emme hits her or throws something at her.  She gave Livi a big lump on her forehead one day because she pushed her on the concrete floor at Wal Mart.  Then a couple days later threw a book and gave her a black eye.  If I put Emme in a time out Livi becomes upset and wants her sister.  At least when I need to rest I know I can turn on the Leap Frog video on Netflix and get a half an hour.  Or call Matt's mom to take them for a bit.  Hopefully my feet can survive this weekend as every day is busy.  A Wedding, two birthday parties, and a baptism.  13 weeks or less to go.
