Olivia is two

I can't believe my little baby is two.  She is still my little precious yet she is trying as hard as she can to catch up with her big sister.  Livi has always been our more calm child.  She just wants to cuddle and suck on her two fingers.  (a habit we are working on breaking) She is the queen of dirty looks.  When she doesn't get her way she looks at you like she could melt you with a look.  Then she yells and runs for her room.  Coming out a couple minutes later to say she is happy.   She has a larger vocabulary then her sister did at this age.  She is very polite saying her please, thank yous and even bless you when you sneeze.  She loves to dance and twirl.  She loves anything soft and cuddly.  She has several stuff animals she likes to carry around as her babies.  She is extremely shy in place or people she doesn't know very well.  Even though she loves to say hi to anyone she sees but if you try to come close she freaks out.  Someone at the grocery store pinched her cheeks and she freaked out.  She is very much a mommy's girl.  If she doesn't like something she runs for Mommy usually with tears in her eyes.  She loves nursery.  Which is a total surprise since she is shy.  She loves to run, and chase her sister.  Though she hates to wrestle or turn upside down.  She is becoming a good little helper and is showing signs it is time to potty train.  (First Mommy has to find the time and energy)  She scared of animals,  but is getting better.  She petted a goat at Wheeler farm.  And will pet the dog through the kennel door.    She loves her big sister and will follow her anywhere.  We worry about how she will react to the baby.  But so far she gives my belly kisses and pats it saying nice baby.  She is growing so fast her and Emme are only a inch and one pound apart.  My baby is growing up.

It is hard for me to believe that my little girl is already two.  For her birthday it was nice and hot so we took them to the splash park.  It was so nice to have it to ourselves.  Livi was very unsure of the whole thing that she wanted to hold my hand and just walk around the park.  Finally Emme insisted she hold her hand and they ran through the water.  When they had their fill of water fun we went to the adjoining park so they could play on the slides.  They had more fun.  After nap time Matt's parents came over for homemade pizza and chocolate cake for her birthday.  Since Matt had to work me and the girls played puzzles and then watched Veggie Tales.  Emme is now excited her birthday.  Which she says is next week.

We decided to do Livi's Second birthday party early this year since her birthday is so close to Memorial Day weekend.  We had it at Matt's parents home.  Not only is their home bigger and nicer for entertaining then ours but they have a beautiful finished back yard perfect for a BBQ.  (Plus the idea of having to entertain at six month pregnant made my feet swell)  Both girls were super excited for the party.  Especially for the new toy their grandparents bought for their yard.  There was plenty of yummy food, family, and cupcakes.  The kids played in the yard and the adults sat around and chatted.  It was a fun evening.  Livi loved it and proudly told everyone she was two.  She still had a week to go so I wasn't going to correct her. She got lots of clothes, a pair of new sandals (Emme keeps trying to wear and we have to remind her they are too small) a pair of birthstone earrings.  (These are the kind you screw on because she likes to pull her earrings out), stuffies, two babies dolls and couple of books.  She gave hugs and told everyone thank you for her presents.
