Emme's first day of Pre-K

Emme has been asking to go to school for over a year now.  The other children in her primary class had been attending preschool and she felt left out.  Sadly her entire primary class is going to kindergarten this year.  Each class they talk about it and Emme would come home in tears.  We decided that it might be nice to have her attend pre k.  We found this really great preschool the next block over named Aspen preschool.  I don't if it was the name Aspen or the thought of going to school finally that made her excited.  Aspen is the name of a favorite cousin.   We met with her teacher several times.  She is very nice and teaches them Spanish, and sign language along with the basics.  Emme tells me she loves her teacher Mrs. Elissa.  She even brought her a flower this morning.
On her first day we walked to school as a family she was so excited we left a little too early, however it was a nice walk.  She was so excited with her new backpack.  (Frozen of course)  Poor Livi had a complete meltdown as her sister went in the classroom.  It was part wanting to go too and miss her sister.  She was happy when it was time to go pick her up.  She said she had so much fun learning about the magic carpet and how to line up.   She is loving it.  Next week she gets to bring some thing that starts with A for show and tell.   She is taking her stuffed Alligator.  Thankfully Livi was better the second day of school.

Alexander's birthday

I could hear Alex crying in his crib.  I figured he needed a diaper change.  So I dragged myself out of bed.  Changed his diaper, gave him a sippy of water and went back to bed.  I glance at my phone to see what time it was it 2:20am.  He was officially one year and two minutes old.   Our little baby is growing up.
For his birthday we decided to spend the day at the zoo.  We went to lunch first and then up to the zoo.  We had a little fear in our hearts it would rain and spoil the day, yet it was a nice day.  The girls wanted to ride the train around the savanna exhibit.  So me and kids went while Matt babysat the stroller.  (He said he had no desire to ride the train)  Alex loved it he giggled the whole way.  The ladies at the gift shop had bubble guns out spraying the kids while they danced to music.  The girls loved it.  Alex loved the bubbles from his stroller.  Everyone of course commented how adorable he is.  He seemed to notice the animals more this trip as he keep waving when one would come near.  The zoo keepers had several little animals out for everyone to meet an owl, ferret, tortoise, and several small birds.
For dinner we had taco at home a favorite of everyone.  We didn't do cake for his birthday.  We were all a little sick of cake since we had cake on Matt's birthday, birthday dinner and Alex's birthday party.  That is three times in about a week.  So Alex got a birthday donut and we had banana splits.  No one complain the lack of cake since we had it so much.  Though I did get told Emme's cake order for her birthday.
