Livi's party

So I know I am crazy, I planned a party right during memorial day weekend.  I had a really good reason why I did this.  I wanted my parents to be able to be there for her actual birthday and her birthday party.  So we had the party on the following Saturday.  Which just happened to be Memorial Day weekend, my sister in law's birthday (Happy Birthday Erin again!) and my cousin in law's baseball tournament.  But I had planned with the hopes my parents could be there.  And they weren't.  Long story short the night before the party we received a phone call from my mom's cousin, Sharon Lee.  My grandmother (my mom's mother) had a stroke that morning.  So my parents got up the next morning and drove home to be with my grandma.  She is still in the hospital but they think she will be fine.  It was a minor stroke but she is 95.   Those who were able to come we were so thankful for and had lots of fun with.   Next year I think we will do it a week later so it doesn't conflict so much

Lots and lots of food

Happy Birthday Olivia!!

It was a Minnie Mouse theme Can't you tell

I designed the whole party because I want an excuse to make this cupcake

The birthday girl

Matt loves to be silly.

Emme kept jumping off the stairs

Livi would rather play with the ears then put them on

She wanted another balloon

This was her face every time Matt's Uncle Mike came near her

Singing to her.  Emme loved she got to help blow out the candles

Livi loved the cookie part most of all

Minnie Mouse from Disneyland from Grandma and Grandpa Losser

I think Livi has enough of her party

So Emme loves attention and being silly.  Her Auntie Sarah taught her to say I am Batman so she and Troy had a fun game going with it.

Olivia Ellen is One!!!

Our sweet adorable Livi has turned one.  She has been a precious miracle in our lives.  She is so calm and happy.  (Even when Emme is torturing her)  She has big blue eyes and ash blond hair.  She has eight teeth and four more coming in.  She loves to kissed and hugged but then she wants to be exploring again.  She is walking around everything and has stood up a couple times on her own.  She is officially off the bottle and is doing surprising well.  She never liked binkies.  She just likes to suck on her two fingers.  She is just too cute for words.

My parents brought this with them.  It was mine as a child.  My grandmother painted it .  So I couldn't resist having her pose on it.  Don't worry Matt was out of the shot to grab her if she started to fall

Birthday Dinner

For Olivia's birthday we had a birthday dinner with her grandparents.  My parents had driven down from Washington.  Yup twelve hours in a car to come for her birthday.  My mom had last seen her in person when she was born.  She was a amazed at such a sweet little girl she had developed into.  You can only get so much from pictures.  For dinner we had pork loin with honey mustard sauce, roasted corn quinoea with honey lime vinaigrette, cauliflower, and watermelon.  Finished off with a strawberry cake.  We ate and talk.  And then watch my mother get grossed out watch Livi destroy her smash cake.  I swear her and my sister are the only people who freak over kids getting food all over them selves.  (She had six kids you think it won't bother her.

Her Birthday Dinner.  I think she just wanted the watermelon.  Her first time with Cauliflower not a big hit.

He was hungry

My parents on the couch, and Matt's parents in the chairs.  We need a bigger table.

Me and Emme.  Her mouth was full of bread

She wants to spread the love

I think she is done

Opening presents.  She got clothes and a tutu from Grandma and Grandpa Olsen.  More clothes and a doll from Great Grandma Knightall (My mom's mom)

My Cute Girls

Today we went to Wheeler Farm for a picnic and to see the animals. The girls loved it.  I decided to get some cute pictures while we were there.
She is such a happy little girl

Emme with her Daddy.  To get her to smile we would ask her what animals sounds were.

She had juice down her shirt.

She has Mommy's angry face

She had  enough pictures by this point

But Emme was ready for more

Olivia's gift and Emme the one who uses it

Livi is going to be one in a couple of weeks.  So we have been trying to figure out what gift to get her. We try to buy one bigger gift that both kids can use.  For Emme's first she got a dress up box, a toy both can use.  So we have been going back and forth on something they can both use as they grow.  So we finally decided that a swing set in the backyard would be nice.  Something they can both use and it helps wear them out.  So we decided we would go in with Matt's parents on the gift.  Last week we made the area and put it together (well Matt did most of it)  Now the girls have a play area in the back yard just for them.  Though Livi is too young to use it yet.  Her sister is making sure it works great for when she can.
