Emme meets the witches

Daddy and Emme with witches playing baseball

With fall comes so many things, the changing of the leaves, the cool air and the witches at Gardniers' village. Gardnier's Village is this collection of shops at the sight of old mill. Every year they decorate with these different witches. Some move and some just stand there. But all are cute. So we decided to take Emme there and she loved them. She had more fun watching them.

There were pumpkins everywhere

Happy Birthday Matt!!

Most of my blog entries are about Emme. Mainly cause like most parents our children consume our lives. Yesterday was a special day as it was Matt's thirty-fourth birthday. Every year we try to do something nice for his birthday to make it special. This year we just spent time together which to us is special since we work different schedules and have little time together. We did the breakfast in bed. Went to the movies to see the most the expendables with all the cheesy eighties action stars. (minus chuck norris and Jean Claude) It was funny and full of action. Went to dinner with Matt's parents at the Market Street Grill. ( It was nice to have a drama free meal unlike last year.) We both love Market Street cause they fly in fresh fish from all over. Alaskan Halibut stuffed with crab was super yummy. Emme loved the bits I feed her. And Matt loved to bites he stole. For his cake I made a red velvet cake. And found cream cheese frosting is terrible to decorate with. But the cake was yummy as you can tell by Emme's face. At the end of the night we sat on our new porch swing, just the three of us. Watching to sunset and the neighbors walk by. Happy Birthday my sweetie. Love you even more then chocolate. And I love chocolate.

Emme is Eight Months old

Emme has turned eight months today. She has gotten so big and even more fun. She smiles almost constantly. When ever we go any where people always comment on what a happy little girl she is. She is very happy she loves people but saves her sweetest smiles for me and her daddy. She has begun to pull her self up. And babbling more. She can say dada and hi. Along with some other words that only other babies can understand. Occasionally she says something that sounds like mama mainly when she is upset. Her first two teeth are almost in. The tips are sticking out of her gums so hopefully they will be in soon. She is so sweet and makes me laugh each day.

Emme kills a clown

So to add to busyness of the past two weeks, Emme has began to him some big milestones. She has been able to sit up on her own if placed there since she was four months. Now she has begun sitting up on her own. Within two days of sitting up on her own she began crawling, and that same day she started saying Dada and really trying to talk. And then a couple days later scared her father when he went to check on her and she was standing in her crib. I swear one of these days she is just going to run, not walk run. The day after Ryan's wedding we went to a birthday party for the other side of Matt's family. Matt's cousin Marnie throws the greatest parties. Her son Christian turn 15th. And had a family bbq. It was fun to watch Aspen running around with her. She had even insisted her mom buy Emme one of those Basket Robbins ice cream clown cone. Which Emme had fun trying to eat and get it all over me.

Emme goes to a wedding

The past couple two weeks have been so busy. We have had so much to do and so little time. Which didn't help that I had developed this horrible flu that made my tonsils swell so talking and eating were painful beyond belief. I even got sent home from work cause they thought it was strep. Thank goodness it wasn't. Instead it was a flu that I just had to wait out. Which didn't help that I had to work and Matt's cousin Ryan was getting married that Saturday. I was really excited to go. I like Ryan, I find him funny. I enjoy teasing him. Matt said he would give me a dollar ever time I bugged him about when he was going to propose. Now that they got married I have to find something new to tease him about. Ryan and his beautiful wife were married at the McClune mansion, which is right across from the conference center. It was beautiful inside and out. We had to wait till the rain stopped so they could be married in the garden. As the ceremony went on me and Matt felt our chairs sinking into the ground which isn't very comfortable when your butt is wet and you holding a wiggly baby. But I have to say they both looked very happy and good together. The reception was held in side the mansion. The food was yummy from what I could swallow. Emme enjoyed being passed from relative to relative. She seemed to enjoy her daddy's cousins Danielle and Jennie. Who seemed to have her the most. I enjoyed finally getting a chance to get to know Danielle and Jennie better. I don't get to see the Losser side of the in laws since they are spread out throughout Nevada, Wyoming and Utah. Matt's Aunt Linda even got him out on the dance floor. It was funny when Keegan (Matt's cousin's one year old son) knocked over a glass during the toasts and then his grandma knock over another one a couple minutes later. It was a fun night. Poor Emme was exhausted in the end. But she loved having some many people holding and loving her.

Emme turns seven months

Today Emme is seven months. I decided her grandmother's yard would be the perfect to take some pictures at this milestone. Emme is close to crawling and hopefully soon have some teeth to show for all her drooling. She loves people watching. And loves to smile at everyone she sees, except our poor neighbor Bob. For some reason she cries when he holds her. (he is very nice) She has taken to sleeping in oddest positions. Tonight I found her on her stomach with her butt in the air using her bottle as pillow. Not sure how comfy it was but she was super upset when I moved her. She is so cute.

Emme's six month pictures by Amy Bennion

Emmeline Mae six month pictures
Emme loved all the props and the silly noises and faces Amy made.
She wore the necklace I wore on our wedding day.
She was teething so she drooled the whole time. But that didn't stop her from smiling and entertaining.
