An Amazing Husband and Father

I have an amazingly sweet hubby.  He just makes me smile at all the little things he does to show  he loves me and our kids.  I am lucky to have a hubby who even if he is tired from work comes home and helps gets kids to bed or takes Emme around the block on her bike.  Every day he surprises me in some little way.  He changes diapers, helps with baths, read stories, watches princess movies and kisses boo boos.  Every night he gets off from his 12 hour shift at a very stressful job, walks in and gives each girl a great big hug and kiss.  He loves playing with his girls.  And now he is so excited we are expecting a boy at the end of the summer.  He is already getting ready to work on the nursery and wants to be very involved in everything.  He tries to help with what ever he can so I don't have to do it while pregnant.  He does the laundry because I can't take it up and down our stairs.  He cares for our large fuzzy baby Kenai.  Who thinks she is a lap dog.  He rubs my swollen feet.   And comes to all my doctor appointments (the nurses at the Ob's think he is cute because he wants to be right there every time.  He has only missed one because of work and he tried to get off)
   I have been thinking more and more what a great man I got and how the Lord must have been saving him just for me.  Tomorrow is the anniversary of our "meeting".  It will be six years and next month we will celebrate our five years of being married.  Six years ago I was living with some friends in Anchorage.  I was getting annoyed with the dating scene in Alaska.  I spent most of my time at work or at the gym.  My roommate used to invite people over to watch American Idol and order Chinese.  One night her friend was telling us about this dating site she was on and how great it was.  I decided it couldn't hurt to try.  So I made a profile and sent out some flirts.  Matt was one of those flirts.  We started emailing back and forth.  Emails turned to phone calls and texts.  In October I went to Utah to do genealogy and we went out almost every day. Very little genealogy gone done that trip.  With in a month we were in engaged. (he didn't propose he said we should get married in the fall)  On May 10th we were married for time and all eternity in the Anchorage Alaska Temple.  
   Now six years later we have a home in Riverton, Utah (I never thought I would live in Utah)  two beautiful daughters Emmeline and Olivia.  With a son whom is due in early September.  We still love being with each other, holding hands, stealing kisses.  And knowing that we were meant for each other.  I am grateful for this wonderful man every day.

It's a boy!

We are so excited to announce that a sweet little boy will be joining our family.  I am due Sept 5th, however I usually come a week early so most likely the end of August. This pregnancy has been so different from our two little princesses.  I have been craving lemons, lemonade, lemon drops, and veggies with ranch ( I have gone through three bottles)  I have lots of stomach cramps and heart burn.  But happily I am not nearly as sick as I was with our girls.  (I had dizzy spells and was sick the whole time with them).  Now we get to start getting ready for our little boy.  We are so excited to start getting ready for him.  Lots to do but so excited.  Emme is happy and told me we can keep him. We plan on naming him Alexander Clark Losser

Easter

Easter day we had so much fun we are all worn out.  The girls were up early and ready to play.  They loved seeing all the goodies the Easter Bunny left them.  They got tiaras, bracelets, capes and chocolate.  They also got a new toy for summer a water table.  (Utah gets extremely hot in the summer so we thought it would be a great way to help them kept cool. )  They had fun playing dress up and flying around as super heroes.  They loved it when they got to go play in their water table.  We then went to Matt's cousin Marnie's house for Lunch and a hunt.  The girls loved playing with Aspen (their second cousin)  They jumped on the trampoline, played on the slide and swing set.  Matt and me had fun visiting with family.  Matt and the other fathers got to go hide the eggs.  Grandpa took Emme around and Grandma took Livi around.  While I took pictures and Matt helped the girls find the harder eggs.  They each had to find six prize eggs, one gold egg and then all the candy eggs they could grab.  It was a lot of fun.  Both had full buckets.  They both got peeps, a light up wand, bubbles, a book, candy bank, and a stuffed bunny.  For the gold eggs are money eggs Livi got ten dollars and Emme five.  More money for their piggie banks.  I was excited by the food.  (What can I say I am five months along my appetite is growing.)  They had lots of the things I have been craving like shrimp, veggies with ranch, potatoes, and lemonade.  I crave lemonade and veggies with ranch constantly.  The food was yummy as usual.  The girls had fun running every where.  At the end the day all the kids were upstairs running around round laughing.  Giving the adults time to chat.  When we got home we decided since it was so nice and sunny out we would set up the water table and let them play.  This turned into pool time.  They loved it.  And for once we didn't have any kids coming out at bedtime.  No one asking for water or tattling.  It was nice.  Both girls have been saying how fun yesterday was  all morning.

In prepartion for Easter we decided to do some fun activities.  Monday we made and decorated sugar cookies.  Emme loved it and Livi enjoyed eating the candy.  Friday we dyed Easter eggs.  Emme is at the age where she is enjoying doing different projects and wants to learn how to do them correctly.  Livi just wants candy and to twirl.  Livi attempted but after two eggs she was done.  Emme worked till everything was done.  She was excited to go delivery the cookies.  She wanted to take some to her favorite Auntie Sarah.  But settled for our neighbors the Spencers and their Grandparents
 Saturday we went to two new (for us) egg hunts.  We went to our neighborhood grocery store's.  (They are wonderful they do all sorts of stuff through out the year)  They had blocked off several rows for each age group.  They had laid out prizes which were for each age.  Livi got graham crackers, bags of fruit loops, a bunny, oranges and candy.  Emme didn't grab as much because she spent more time looking back and smiling at Daddy.  (He couldn't help her because she was grouped with older kids)  She grabbed a bucket with shovel, marsh mellows, and some candy.  They also got to meet the Easter bunny.  
    Then we went to Thanksgiving Point with Matt's parents for their Egg hunt.  Honestly I wasn't too impressed.  It was extremely crowded.  The egg hunt had lots of eggs to grab but the contents were not that great.  A clue should have been the sign in the zero to three year olds about choking hazards in the eggs.  Everything was small and extremely cheap.  They had other fun things if you wanted to wait in lines, which isn't a strong suit for toddlers and their pregnant mom.  I think next year we will try Wheeler Farm's.  We hear it is nicer and smaller.

 Matt has been off for the past week,which has been wonderful.  The girls are loving every minute of it and so am I.  He really wanted to go to the zoo if it was nice.  We decided it would be fun to invite his parents too.  However after much debate we decided it would be better if I stayed home. Our zoo here in Utah has a lot of hills and being pregnant with a history of passing out (I have difficult pregnancies)  we decided it wasn't a good idea for me to go.  Instead I stayed home and relaxed.  The girls had a wonderful time.  They both rode the carousel.  Emme was scared at first but quickly thought it was fun.  Livi kept forgetting to hold on and was slipping off but grandma kept her on.  The worst part of the day was when a older boy pushed Emme to the ground after they got off.  She cried for about five minutes.  Neither the boy or the parent seemed concerned about it. (sad the lack of manners and kindness that is being taught) Other then that they had fun.  Livi walked the whole way because her sister did.  They are still talking about the animals they saw.

Easter Projects

This year I decided I wanted to make something for the girls' Easter Baskets. ( I was thinking about making something at Christmas but I was busy working on my tree skirt and that took up my life for a while.)   So I figured I should get a early start because who knows how much energy I would have on a daily basis.  I had a couple projects I saw on Pinterest I was thinking about but I knew what ever I made it had to have felt (I have tons) and it needed to help with the girls imaginations.  Both girls love to pretend.  I never know what they are.  They go from cats, dogs, super heros, moose, princesses, bad guys, dragons, etc.  So I settled on tiaras, bracelets and super hero capes.

Each girl gets a cape with the first letter.  We decided that we would use the L for Livi rather then the O for Olivia.  Mainly cause the L looked cooler.  Plus a mask, two tiaras, and three bracelets.

The capes turned out so well Matt wants me to make one for him too so he can play with his girls.  Thanks to my mother in law who did the hem on the capes.  I need to practice how to sew straight on my machine

Spring Time

 It is finally getting to be spring here in Utah.  Which I know we are so happy about.  I like spring in Utah.  It reminds me of summer in Alaska just not as green.  I am not a big snow person.  (Yes I know I am from Alaska and all.  I like snow at Christmas and that is it.  Snow makes me want a cup of hot chocolate and a good book.) The girls are loving the sun shine and playing with their toys outside.  Our backyard in the winter is the solo play ground of our dog Kenai, but in the summer she has to share it with the girls. We are hoping to have some adventures next week when Matt is off for twelve days. We are hoping to hit Wheeler Farm, the zoo, decorate cookies, dye eggs and an Easter egg hunt, before Easter Brunch at Matt's cousin house.  (Emme is so excited for this she keeps asking when we get to go to Aspen's house. For Easter Eggs.) It is always tons of fun) Hopefully we will also get some of our projects done too.   We need to do some spring cleaning outside.  So happy for the warm weather and that we have air conditioning for the hot weather later in the summer.  (Not looking forward to last trimester when it gets to be in the hundreds.  Paying for a mild summer)
