Santa Santa Santa

We love this time of year.  The lights, music, and decorations are so beautiful.  The girls are in love with Christmas.  They are bouncing around singing their versions of Christmas songs.  We decorated our house the Monday after Thanksgiving since that was the next day Matt had off.  I need him to reach the boxes cause I am short.  A lot of our decorations didn't make it out of the box this year due to little man.  Even after we did our tree about six inches of the bottom have very little on the branches as he pulls them off we move them up to the higher branches.
This year we went decided to try the Riverton Christmas party.  We heard it was fun.  Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive on a fire truck.  That was cute but the super long line to see Santa was not.  We stood in line for almost an hour before we got to the next line to see Santa.  So not thrilled.  The girls were really good for the amount of waiting.  After the picture there are craft kits or sugar cookies to decorate.  By the time we got to the sugar cookies it look like some one had been using their fingers, so we had plain cookies.  I love sugar cookies with butter cream but I had a very long class in college about food born illness so no.  They had some other things to do but the girls said they wanted to go home.  So we got a hot chocolate and a scone before heading home.   I got some weird looks when I said I didn't care for Utah scones.  They are deep fried dough.  I prefer the English baked kind.

Emme thought it was like a donut but it needed chocolate

Saturday we decided to go up to Cabela's and see Santa again.  The girls were so excited.  The wait was only 15 minutes and the pictures were completely free plus we could take our own pictures.  The kids loved looking at the different animals while we waited.  They pointed out the ones they knew and loved learning the few they didn't.  The elves came through to talk to the kids and Mrs. Claus talked to girls while waiting.  Livi informed her she was not Mrs. Claus because she didn't have white hair.  So we told her that Mrs. Claus is up at the North Pole keeping the elfs on track.  That seemed to work. All the kids enjoyed the trip.  Alex didn't cry with Santa.  The kids enjoyed visiting the shooting range with their free tokens.  Alex loved the fish tanks.  He was pointing and clapping.  After we left we went to Harmons there was Santa again.  Emme announced there was two Santas.  I told her that Santa followed us because of her and Livi fighting in the car.   The two Santas was quickly forgotten as they had ham samples.  Our kids love ham.

This has been my project the past week.  I don't trust the kids with our Nativity.  So I made this one out of felt they can play with.  They love it.
