Pre Halloween Fun Part two

It is the weekend before Halloween, which means parties and more fun.  Friday was Matt's work party.  It is in the Sheriff's building next to the jail.  They have a haunted house which we always skip.  It is something the girls will like when their older but not yet.  They have trick or treating through the offices.  Which tends to be decorated a little scary for our girls.  But before we went in we talked about how it is just plastic, fake and nothing with harm them.  Reminds like these always help.  One of the offices tried to do a haunted toy shop theme.  The girls just saw toys to play with.  They had donuts and pizza too.  They also had a game room with pumpkins for each kids.  Sadly a lot of the bowl were empty so the girls didn't get a lot of candy.  But I think the train ride made up for that in the kids minds.

Saturday morning the girls had a party to go to.  A family in our ward throws a Halloween party every year for their kids. They have two cute girls that are Livi and Emme's age.  (Michelle and Nicole)  So I walked the girls down with our dog Happy.  So while they were at their party we went for a long walk.  The girls had so much fun they didn't want to go home.  Especially Livi who proclaimed she wanted to go back to the party.  After a early dinner we went over to Matt's parents.  Their ward was having a big Halloween party at the park.  They had tons of different soups which made Emme happy she loves soup.  They had salad which made Livi happy.  And cookies which made Alex happy.  They had a tractor Hay ride.  A trick or treat with different games.  Livi won twice in the number walk.  (Like the cake walk but you got little prizes instead)  Emme won once.  They had so much fun and I got beets so I was so happy.  (Someone was giving away their excess veggies from their garden. I love beets)  The girls loved playing on the play ground.  Then we went back to Grandma's and played with Grandpa for a while before we headed home.  Today it is a pj day with cute Halloween shows like Halloweentown.  Next week Emme has her preschool program, Halloween, Zayne's birthday party and Emme's  birthday party, then her birthday.  I think I may need a nap.  But the girls are having fun making memories and that is what matters.

Hard to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time.  Off to the Halloween party

Off to Grandma's ward party.

Pre Halloween Fun

Halloween is coming our girls are so excited.  We even have a countdown on our wall.  This year instead of making their costumes they wanted store bought ones.  What they picked was so cute we gave in.  Livi our little princess wanted to be her favorite princess Rapunzel.  If Livi had her way she would wear a dress every day so she could dance and be a princess.  She asks us everyday to wear her costume.  The wig that came with the costume lasted about ten minutes.  She said it was too itchy to wear.
Emme wanted to Maleficent.  The sorceress from Sleeping Beauty.  I honestly thought she was going to want something Frozen.  We were glad she wanted something different.  I think there will be hundreds of Elsa and Anna's this Halloween.  She loves playing the wicked witch part.  She was chasing her sister around the yard as we took pictures saying "I will get you my pretty"  I know wrong movie.
Alex is not walking yet so he will spend Halloween in the wagon.  So instead of going all out for a costume we got him a cute Zombie in Training Shirt.  So he is a zombie.  He can growl like one.  Emme is trying in vain to teach him to say brains.
Everyone is excited for all our Halloween plans.  We have Matt's work party, a truck or treat party, and the girls have a friend's Halloween party too.  Emme's preschool is having a program and Halloween party.  She has been singing the Halloween songs all around the house.  I love this time of year.

I tried to put some make up on him to look more like a zombie.  Didn't work out that well.
I won't buy those kits seen too many reactions.

A Pumpkin Patch, reception and painting

Emme is loving preschool.  She wakes up excited for school.  She literally dances to school.  Last week her class had their first field trip to a pumpkin patch.  Emme was super excited.  Matt's parents watch Alex and Livi so I could take Emme.  A little Mommy and  Emme time.   The pumpkin patch had a large amount of trackers that they could climb on.  Emme had to sit on every one and get her picture taken.  She loved running around the pumpkin patch looking for her perfect pumpkin.  Her class took class pictures, went through the corn maze, had story time, snack time and went on a hay ride.  We finally found her perfect pumpkin in a truck full of pumpkins.  She got up and went through every one.  When I helped her down she grabbed a hold of my necklace which broke.  I searched all over the ground but my heart pendant was gone.  I was so sad my second piece of jewelry this month to be lost.  I just prayed someone would find it and turn it in.  I asked Emme where she wanted to go for lunch.  She said she wanted Bean Soup.  This little girl loves soup.  So we went to Olive Garden to get Bean Soup.  She loves dipping her bread sticks in her soup.  She insisted on sitting next to me and cuddling.  She can be such a sweet little girl.

The perfect pumpkin

That night we drove with Matt's parents to Ogden for Matt's cousin Steven's Daughter's wedding reception.  I am glad they drove as I get lost easily and the wrong address was on the invite.  I got to meet several of Matt's cousins I haven't met before.  The girls had fun running around and dancing.  They love to dance.  Alex loved that they had grapes.

Emme's homework was to paint and decorate her pumpkin before Monday.  So while Alex was napping me and the girls set up in the backyard painting pumpkins.  Livi and Emme picked to do glitter with pink and purple paint.  I forgot to get a picture of the finish product before she took it back to school.

Creepy Sense

Some days the Holy Ghost speaks to you strongly telling you to do this or that and sometimes he just activates your creepy sense so you are extra careful.   We don't often take the kids to a toy store.  Sometimes when we are in Walmart or Target we will wander through the toy section to see if there is anything new that would be great for their birthday.  Matt finally had a day off so we decided to run over to Toy R US, mainly because Emme's birthday coming and we don't have much idea what to get her outside of art supplies or a pony.  While we were wandering around looking at the toys and getting ideas for Christmas and Emme's birthday.  I began to have this overwhelming feeling anxiety. I do have panic attacks but they are rare.  I know my triggers and usually avoid them.  Yet some reason I felt I needed to keep the girls closer even though the store wasn't crowded.  As we walked I noticed a large man walking around with an odd look on his face.  He was every where we were.  He was wandering the little girls aisle but wasn't looking at any of the toys.  He kept walking near us over and over.  Matt said the man was setting off his creepy sense too.  Maybe we were being overly paranoid, maybe he was a nice guy.  Yet it was very odd the way he was acting.  Matt and I have both work with in a field that makes you a little paranoid. Plus all the training class and years of working those who have lots of issues make you know the signs.  All through the store we were careful where the girls were that they were in arms reach at all times.  We normally don't do that we give them a little room.  Yet that creepy sense didn't go away till we left the store.  As we left so did the man and a cop entered in full gear right as we were leaving.   I am so thankful for the creepy sense or the North Star paranoia as I sometimes call it and the Holy Ghost.   We did find the perfect gift for Livi for Christmas though.  Minnie Mouse Stable.  She loves ponies and Minnie Mouse.

The Amazing Alexander turns One!!!

Alexander is such a sweet amazing little boy.  We are so incredibly blessed to have this child in our lives.  Alex is always ready with a kiss.  He loves to give kisses and cuddle.  He thinks it is the funniest thing to kiss your nose.  He loves to laugh.  His has the most amazing giggle.  He loves to explore and find new thing to get into.  He loves his cars and anything he can push around the room.  Emme and him play Lions.  They growl at each other then chase each other around the house.  He is so active he barely sits still for long.  He will cuddle then off to the next adventure.  He is a master at going up the stairs.  Still working on going down.  He is a true monkey as he climbs on everything he can find.  He is still not walking but is walking along everything. He loves looking at books.  We often find him in a corner somewhere looking a book.  He enjoys his story time before bed.   He has decided that he is done with baby food.  If his sisters have it he wants it.  He still hates peas but loves other veggies.  He loves chicken and most anything is given  His favorite food is spaghetti.  He gets extremely excited when he realizes that is what for dinner.  Of course his face matches he hair when he is done.   He has grown so much since he was born.  He is now 31 inches long and 25.4 pounds.  He wears 2T shirts and pants.  They hang on him but he is so tall that he needs the length so he doesn't look like he is in Capri and belly shirt.  There is no update on his heart condition.  They continue to monitor him.  He will be having another echo cardiogram in November to decided whether or not surgery is in his future.
