Emme VS The Peas

One of my favorite cartoons as a kid was The Powerpuff Girls. I swear me and Sarah had seen probably every episode between the two of us. My favorite episode is the one where the vegetables are evil aliens. And the only way to defeat them is to eat them. I thought about this episode as I started my daughter on veggies last week. Emme is getting bigger, and is starting to move on to bigger stuff. She has started rolling over. She can get from her stomach to her back and once in a while the other way. She can sit up with something behind her. Which her doctor says is way early. And now she is starting real food. Well I guess it isn't real food, it is more a pea puree. It smells like bad split pea soup. But is a step up. She seems to like oatmeal cereal better than rice. And green beans better then peas. But she really doesn't have much to compare to yet. I have a jar in our pantry that I can't wait to feed her. Sweet Potatoes with Wild Alaskan Salmon. I know it is probably dumb to buy it so early when she can't have it for a couple months. But I am from Alaska and I want my daughter to have what little piece of Alaska I can give her even if it a jar of baby food salmon. We bought her a bunch of bibs and Alaskan onesies when we were there in May. Her uncle sent her these cute moccasins made out of caribou and beaver. And Grandma Olsen sent her a Kuspuk which is a Yupik outfit. I plan on have her one year pictures taken in it. Matt says he is Alaskan by marriage and Emme is half Alaskan and half Utah. I plan on teaching her the great things about Alaska. Starting with baby food.
